Job Description: 
Conducts tests, calibrates and diagnoses electronic sub-assemblies and printed circuit boards.  


  • PRINCIPAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Reads work orders, follows test and/calibration procedures, and receives written or verbal instructions to complete day-to-day assignments.      
  • Follows established policies for “Static Safety” and handling electronic assemblies.  
  • Compiles, organizes, records and interprets data accurately.  
  • Diagnoses defective assemblies and determines appropriate corrective action steps.  
  • Read schematic diagrams and troubleshoot circuitry to the component level. 
  • Align components and troubleshoot amplifiers, DC-DC converters, inverters, and off line switching power supplies.  
  • Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and production electronic  components, parts and equipment, such as computer equipment, instrumentation and test equipment applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics and physics.  
  • Work closely with other departments to develop layout and assembly procedures and troubleshoot and resolve issues.  
  • Devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.  
  • Completes required documentation such as tags, labels, and reports to support the production/test process.  
  • Interact well with all staff, customers, general public, and provide training and instruction as needed.  
  • Performs all required tasks with attention to quality and accuracy.  
  • Maintains compliance with all Company and Quality policies and procedures.  
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed. 


• Education: Technical Associate Degree in electronics/instrument engineering technology, related field or military equivalent required, or HS Diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience in electronic/electrical, engineering or similar field.
• Experience: Previous electronic/electrical test, printed circuit board assembly, electrical assembly or electronics/electrical experience preferred.
• Required Skills: Must be effective with Microsoft Windows products including Internet Explorer, Excel and Word. Effectively use calibration and test equipment, and small hand tools such as crimps, wire cutters, soldering iron, etc…Must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving ability.
• Responsibility for Direction of Others: None. Physical Requirements: Requires continuous standing or sitting and frequent walking.
