Job Description

The Electrical Technician will work on commercial installation of fire equipment, monitoring service, and video service for surveillance.

Construct electronic circuits.
Test consumer electronics products for power requirements and product line compatibility.
Prepare and conduct experiments or testing, collecting data, calculating and/or recording results
Document test results in written reports.
Organize and maintain test data and test reports for both prototype and product release.
Maintain and organize laboratory component stock.
Maintain and utilize electronic test equipment.
Generate test procedures for use in manufacturing of electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
Support design and development of small cable assemblies with electronic device connectors.
Assemble and test experimental electrical parts or make changes in parts according to an Engineer's instructions.
Work from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
Work with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons.
Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
Use precise instruments such as voltmeters, current meters, oscilloscopes, curve tracers and other test equipment that is common in electronics labs.
Able to read and understand CAD drawings, product specifications and engineering handbooks
Research/evaluate new methods, tools and processes for continuous improvement efforts.
Additional duties and responsibilities maybe assigned from time to time as required to meet business needs.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Two Year Technical Degree in Electronics.
Thorough understanding of analog and digital circuits.
Thorough understanding of test instrument operation, Power Supplies, Function Generators, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes.
Proven Soldering Skills, including SMT and through-hole.
Understand operation of basic electronic components and Microprocessors.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electronic circuits and assemblies down to the component level.
Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.
Maintains painstaking attention to detail, completing multiple and repetitive tasks with urgency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and productively with little or no supervision.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.


4-7 years

Electronic testing: 8 years (Preferred).
Related test, design, and development: 5 years (Required).
Electronic components and Microprocessor: 2 years (Preferred).
Technical Design in Electronics: 2 years (Required).
Analog and digital circuit: 2 years (Preferred).
