Job Description

Spherion is currently assisting our client located in Brooksville for a temp/hire position. We are looking for someone with minimum of 2 years experience as an electronics tester. Advanced soldering skills are required. The position will require performing highly diversified product or component testing involving a wide scope of electrical tests. May conduct audits, inspection, studies and validation of manufacturing processes. May be required to construct, alter, and/or repair products and production runs. Some administrative work related to various electronic or electro-mechanical technical functions and assignments in support of the production of PCB or box build product.



It is understood that certain minimum requirements are not tested for but monitored for competent capability during the employee?s indoctrination period.

Responsibilities:
Primary duties of the position will be as followed:
-Must be able to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for electronics circuit boards and units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
-Test, troubleshoot and/or repair product, or component testing involving wide scope of electrical tests. Determining cause of failures and a resolution.
-May be required to make test station adjustments, set up work area, and use tools such as multi-meters and other electronic test equipment to determine component values for identification.
-Must be able adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron. Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation based off product drawings, part lists, bills of materials, and/or oral instructions.
-Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
-Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics, using hand and power tools.
-May assist in the implementation of process control plans, inspection audits based on process capability study results, program requirements, QA control plans and established audit frequency.
-Perform highly diversified product or component testing ensuring diagnosis. Record performance results, analyse defect results, interpret variances.
- Suggest resolution/solutions and may test and implement solutions.
-Expected liaison with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production Supervisors and customers/vendors on electronic or chemical testing questions.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
-Electronics Technician Diploma/Associate Degree; or comparable vocational-technical certificate, military technical training; or combination of education/experience in related field; or advanced solder training with ability to demonstrate proficiency in these skills
-minimum of three (3) years? experience in advanced soldering.
-Good math fundamentals, communication and problem-solving skills, circuit analysis skills, with experience in functional and in-circuit tests.

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Must be able to pass criminal background and drug testing
Ability to read, interpret and follow complex schematic diagrams, assembly drawings and test specifications.
-May be required to maintain certification to Advanced Soldering Workmanship Standards and ESD Precautions as determined by facility.
-May be required to demonstrate an understanding of essential microprocessor components, BUS concepts and terminology; also understand principles and operation of types of microprocessor memory circuits, and understand principles and operations of microprocessor machine code and instruction sets.
-May be required to pass color recognition eye test.
