Maintains offices, buildings/plant facilities, and company grounds; Performs routine maintenance, service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, or vehicle servicing; performs technical maintenance and repairs on building facilities and/or specific equipment; performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Perform highly diversified duties maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to equipment.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment;
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in accordance with OSHA and company requirements;
Maintains clean and orderly work areas.

Minimum high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may walk, stand, bend or stoop, use hands to adjust, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop; talk or hear. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Must be able to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
