Job Description

Our prestigious client is looking for a detailed and analytic driven Financial and Administrative Analyst who is interested in long term employment. This is a great career opportunity to work with one of the top academic institutes in Santa Barbara.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director and Financial Manager, the Financial and Administrative Analyst performs a wide range of duties including, but not limited to:
-Financial and administrative management.
-Planning and coordination.
-Gathering Institute statistics, conducting surveys, analyzing data, producing statistical reports.
-Coordinating Institute's fellowship selection process.
-Account reconciliation.
-Ability to handle other various tasks and roles as needed.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Our client is looking for the ideal candidate who posses's the following skills.
-Has great ability to evaluate cumulative and projected purchases, recharge costs, and salary expenditures to perform budget projections for accounts.
-Highly skilled computer proficiency with the ability to create various reports and statistics.
-Uses professional concepts to apply organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues.
-Posses's the ability to assess advertising effectiveness.
-Experience in recommending modifications to program policies, procedures, budget and schedule.
-Demonstrates ability to develop and revise standard operating procedures and guidelines.
-Must posses ability to maintain accurate records for all functions performed.

No Degree Required

1-4 years

Our client is looking for a detailed and analytical oriented candidate with prior office experience with proficiency in basic computer programs. The ideal candidate will conduct themselves with professionalism and initiative. Our client desires a candidate who is familiar with collegiate policies and procedures related to financial management including account reconciliation, contract administration, grant administration, accounts payable, shipping/receiving, purchasing and reimbursement processing. Experience with Academic Collegiate Systems: GUS, online general ledger system, Data Warehouse and Transfer of Expense is highly desired.
