Flour Packaging Technician

Job Description

Spherion Staffing is assisting our client who is looking for a Flour Packaging Technician to package flour products under the director of the Head Miller. Qualified applicants must be willing to work a rotating shift, have 1+ years of forklift experience and 1+ years of warehouse/manufacturing experience.

24/7 rotating shifts-7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am
Pay $13-16/hour DOE with shift differentials ($2 for 2nd shift and $3 for third shift)

Responsibilities:

- Operation and monitoring of a robotic auto packer
- Ensure machine operation is optimal and quality of packaging is maintained
- Keep accurate inventories of finished products and raw materials through a barcoding system
- Operation of valve packer and periodically hand stacking finished product is required
- Operate packaging equipment including scales, bag sealer, product conveyors and other equipment
- Maintain sanitation standards established by the company

Skills:
Requirements:
-High School diploma or equivalent required
-1 plus years of warehouse/manufacturing experience
-1 plus years of forklift experience preferred
-Excellent comprehension of verbal and written instruction is a must
-Competent computer skills with knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and barcoding preferred
-Ability to physically lift 50 pounds routinely
