Job Description

Our client on the Northside is seeking an experienced Fraud Analyst/Chargeback Specialist. This position is responsible for the research, response and tracking of Chargebacks received for eCommerce and Phone orders received. This individual will also be responsible for tracking the chargeback to sales ratio for the department including the identification of trends resulting in chargebacks. Additionally, this position will work with the Fraud review team to verify transactions held for review based on risk.

Responsibilities will include:

- Review and research daily chargeback reports and submit responses to Clientline, Discover and American Express
- Monitor monthly sales vs chargebacks ratio and forward monthly transactions for audit
- Research and process rejected orders
- Update online fraud management tool to restrict fraudulent transactions
- Partner with Asset Protection to restrict known fraudulent individuals and locations
- Partner with Finance and Retail Accounting with reporting and resolving chargeback issues
- Log and maintain return and chargeback monthly reports
- Recover shipments (when appropriate) for accounts that have been compromised
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of card issuer regulations through continuous review of regulations and notices provided by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express
- Support month end close activities in partnership with Finance team
- Process return/exchange transactions as needed
- Process customer credits as needed (prior to receipts)
- Use all available business systems to research returned items
- Complete other duties and on demand reporting and testing as needed to ensure team success

--Minimum of 1 year Chargeback/Fraud Analyst related experience
--Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
--Ability to interpret data and report appropriately
--Excellent organizational skills
--Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
--Strong decision-making and problem solving skills,
--Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
--Ability to work with minimal supervision with compressed deadlines
--Mathematical and analytical skills
--Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
--Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required
