To start, the responsibilities for this position will consist of the following:
- Schedule and Dispatch Loads – this will require receiving and entering orders from our customers. Scheduling multiple trucks and truck drivers to ensure efficient and effective service to customers. Analyzing most cost effective supply points and carriers to full fill the order and dispatching the loads to our common carriers. Follow up on orders may include trouble shooting carrier loading problems, customer site issues and supply issues which all must be handled in a very expedited time frame.
- Maintain truck maintenance and driver files – will be responsible for filing and maintaining service records, scheduling service and maintaining driver qualification files.
- Sales and Billing Assistance – Assist billing team on any freight cost or paperwork issues as needed.
Working hours: 40
Education and skills required and/or preferred include:
--Prior petroleum transport dispatch (MUST HAVE)
--A Bachelor's degree or equivalent years' experience in a related field
--Accurate data entry and typing abilities
--Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Outlook
--Excellent organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills
The hours will be 3:00-12:00
