Job Description

Spherion Staffing is interviewing for Engineering Technicians to work with a Ag company. The Grain Equipment Engineering Technician is responsible for service, repair and installation labor as required on our products, as well as to assist in the design, development and R&D of grain equipment, while providing the highest level of customer service possible. Qualified applicants should have a Bachelor's degree and 1 plus years of engineering tech/engineering background with experience or knowledge of grain handling equipment.

Direct Hire Opportunity
Salary $40-65k/year DOE


- Perform service/repair work on our products as required
- Conduct R&D and field testing to analyze the design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems
- Assist and/or manage installation of our equipment
- Assist with and or supervise construction projects at our facilities or at trade shows
- Assist with the quality assurance inspection and reviews, research and development projects and testing
- Develop and present company installation and service training sessions with our dealers on our products
- Install and assist in the installation of electrical components
- Maintain current knowledge of our equipment, technology and resources related to repair and service of our equipment and products
- Provide technical advice and information on installation and service of our products
- Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems
- Review and develop installation & operation manuals for our products

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

-Bachelor's degree preferred
-1 plus years of engineering tech/engineering background with experience or knowledge of grain handling equipment preferred
-Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified
-Previous field service work a plus with hands-on mechanical experience, including basic plumbing and electrical, preferred
-Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other windows-based software a plus
-Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and the ability to handle multiple priorities
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-Ability to work independently and with a team
-Ability to travel extensively and work extended hours and overnight travel
-Required to have an insurable driving record to drive company vehicles; CDL would be beneficial
