Job Description

The Hardware Store Manager is responsible for the daily retail operations and merchandising of the store including assigning and overseeing the completion of tasks and responsibilities delegated to the store team. The Hardware Store Manager is responsible for ensuring that associates provide exceptional customer service, while achieving sales goals. This includes ensuring customer satisfaction, driving sales, building sales skills, and product knowledge. Effective Store Managers maximize productivity and profit ability by balancing sales and expenses, identifying sales opportunities, and setting customer service standards.

The Ft. Myers store makes approximately 2.5M on sales.

? Analyze changes that affect the store?s operation and goals. Make necessary changes and adjustments to meet and or beat expectations
? Direct the retail operations of the store within company guidelines
? Establish department and store sales goals
? Resolve customer complaints
? Work with staff to ensure goals are achieved, procedures are followed, and high standards are maintained
? Be proficient in all store technology (i.e., ACENET, Eagle system)
? Maintain an accurate inventory, with minimal shrink
? Understanding of income statements
? Work with merchandising team regarding price and margin maintenance and current price inventory levels
? Adjust personnel and inventory as needed to prepare for advertising and promotional campaigns
? Oversee inventory shipment and receiving
? Maintain store appearance and equipment to insure maximum sales efficiency
? Authorize refunds in a manner that is consistent with company policy
? Work with the processing of weekly hot sheets and price adjustments ensuring store bin tagging completed in a timely manner
? Delegate maintenance of defective merchandise claims
? Overall responsibility for store safety and security. Safeguarding both assets and consistently working toward and maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees
? Report maintenance and safety issues as they arise
? Hire and train employees to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity in all departments
? Oversee payroll to ensure store meets goals
? Oversee scheduling of all departments and staff, promotions, transfers, and terminations as needed
? Oversee vacations, holiday, and sick leave schedules
? Resolve employee conflicts, report any harassment, EEO, or other discrimination issues to HR immediately
? Knowledge of overall company policies, procedures, and goals
? Prepare ?Accident Reports? for employees, customers, and vehicles
? Prepare and present records of communication
? Complete performance reviews for store team in a timely and accurate manner
? Schedule and Conduct monthly store meetings
? Attend management and training meeting and conventions as needed
? Participate in local civic affairs
? Key Holder, which requires to lock and unlock the store for opening and closing
? Ensure that cashier open/close procedures are followed
? Capable of running POS terminal both on-line and off-line, and upload offline POS transactions
? Operate Veriphone
? Count Cash and supervise or make up the bank deposit
