Our west side client is looking for a Healthcare Compliance Specialist; if you have a passion for healthcare research and a love of writing, this job just might be the perfect match!

Job Summary: The Compliance Specialist is responsible for working with the Compliance Manager and/or Senior Compliance Specialist and Medicare Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements (e.g. Wisconsin insurance law, federal health care reform, federal ERISA, HIPAA privacy and security, and Medicare managed care).


-Interpreting regulations and identifying compliance requirements
-Assessing likely risks and recommending compliant solutions that support business goals and serving as an expert
-Supporting workforce education about compliance requirements
-Assisting with benefit interpretation and drafting policy language to reflect compliance and business-driven changes

Working hours: 1st shift M-F

Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years relevant work experience with managed care, health insurance, or government compliance programs

-Familiarity with Wisconsin's managed care environment, Dean Health Plan products, the Affordable Care Act and/or the HIPAA Privacy Rule

-Able to draft insurance policy/benefit language, corporate policies and procedures and proposed legislation

-Passion for research and an love of writing a must!
