Job Description

Operates heavy equipment: includes running,maneuvering,navigating and driving for construction, grading, mining and landfill operations. Inspects heavy equipment: includes structures and materials, identifies causes of errors and other problems or defects. Monitors information: includes materials,events or environment, detects or assesses problems associated with heavy detect changes in circumstances or events. Clean, maintain and make basic repairs to equipment. Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors. Fill out work orders for necessary repairs. Coordinate machine actions with crew member's in response to hand or audio signals. Ensure that safety standards are met. Deliver job materials to customers, including sand,gravel and roll off containers.Drivers are responsible for loading their trucks using front end loaders or excavators. Perform pre-trip inspections and detect malfunctions,damage or maintenance needed. Service vehicles with water,fuel or oil. Check tire pressure. Maintain daily driver logs, pre-trip reports,work orders and reports. Adhere to traffic laws and safety procedures. Read maps and GPS navigation devices. Clean and maintain truck and equipment. Collect payments, including customer ID drivers license and physical address for checks. Physical labor and heavy lifting may be required. Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted per DOT regulations and company policy. Work as a team member.

Education:
High School

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Must be a least a high school graduate or equivalent. Class A or B CDL is required. MVR check will be conducted. Current DOT physical required. Must have a minimum of five years of similar experience in the mining & trucking industry. Must be drug and alcohol free. Must receive MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) mining training and first aid. Must be mature, responsible and professional in conduct of self and in carrying out the duties of this position.


Must have a valid class A or B CDL. Be able to pass drug and background test. Be able to receive MSHA( Mine Safety and Health Administration) training. Must be mature,responsible and professional in conduct of self and in carrying out the duties of this position.
