Job Description

Our highly respected client in Santa Barbara is looking for an experienced construction residential audio and video installer that will be working with a highly affluent clientele base. Our client is a leader in this dynamic industry.

Install and maintain audio visual equipment including display devices, projectors, televisions, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakers.
Provide excellent equipment services to meet client expectations.
Assists customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services, and recommends suitable resolutions accordingly.
Perform equipment storage and transportation activities in safe and secure manner.
Perform inventory management of equipment, wiring, and accessories to avoid any shortages.
Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements and inspections.
Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Test equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Our ideal candidate with posses the following skill set:
Accurate knowledge of all types of wire and cable, both new construction and retro-fit.
Knowledgeable in structured cabling and other advanced cabling technologies.
A/V components and associated equipment.
Theater systems, high end video display knowledge, and HD Video distribution systems.
Ability to install projectors, automated screens and video displays of all types.
In depth experience in installation and configuration of hard wired and wireless networks and all associated components. (Networking / IT)
Installation of Lighting, motorized, and automation Control Systems..
Great understanding of installing Security systems, Access control systems, and smart home systems.
Experience with cameras, Digital and Analog, DVR and NVR configurations.
Knowledge of sound proofing and acoustical treatments.
In addition to being extremely dependable, the ideal candidate must have a willingness to learn and work hard.
Assemble and disassemble audio visual equipment as needed.
Ability to prioritize work orders in accurately and timely.
Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required.
Generate expense reports including labor and material costs for management.


4-7 years

Bachelor's degree or related certification in this specific industry is preferred.
Knowledge of hand tools and up to date knowledge on new audio and video components on the market.
Professional demeanor, in-home etiquette.
Minimum of 5 years of in-depth experience in Audio Video Residential Installation. Information Technology and construction back ground is desired.
