Spherion in Bellefontaine is now seeking a Hiring Manager for a local manufacturer in East Liberty, OH!

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Establish, develop and manage a talent acquisition strategy to identify manpower requirements. Execute on the talent acquisition strategy by leading the recruitment process end-to-end from development of job specs, posting, sourcing candidates, identifying viable candidates, evaluating talent, scheduling/orchestrating interview process with business partners and facilitating post-interview determinations. Strategically post/distribute job descriptions to attract talent. Establish alternative recruitment channels, maintaining relationships with and utilizing reputable staffing agencies to the company’s advantage-- ensuring job specifications for quality hires in quick timelines. Utilize applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage the candidate flow, ensure managers are also equipped to utilize the ATS. Prepare and negotiate offers to candidates, with a keen sense of candidate interests/triggers. Actively network and build relationships with future potential candidates outside of the office at official or unofficial networking events. Serving as the in-house expert on talent acquisition, the Manager keeps abreast of the latest trends, determine the best tactics/tools for the Company and utilize the best combination of traditional and non-traditional recruiting approaches. Orient new employees to the organization by conducting/facilitating the Company’s new hire orientation. On board new employees to the organization by distributing/collecting required forms  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT   Our Clients Operations Departments operate in a warehouse, manufacturing or office environments.  Duties are performed within an office environment usually behind a desk, frequently operate a computer, read, write and interact with others in person, over the phone and via other devices. They move about within the facility and travel to other locations.  

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES   Expert proficiency in implementing HR strategy/practices, particularly: talent acquisition/ recruiting, employee relations, orientation, training/learning. Critical thinking & judgment- - ability to identify and understand a business problem/challenge, determine range of alternatives/options, recommend/adopt a solution and execute. Highly collaborative with a strong customer-service orientation. Understand the business operations from a tactical and operational perspective. Exercise sound judgment, with the ability to process/seek out information from multiple sources and deliver decisions/recommendations that are fair, balanced, and impartial. Demonstrated ability to: influence and negotiation, communicate (both written and verbal).
