Job Description

This company introduces competitive berry and citrus varieties to producers around the world and understands the needs of farmers for varieties that deliver quality and uniform product in the best market window for each country and production area.

Our busy accounting office supports all commercial managers, vendors and owners. This role involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to a global organization. The accounting activities and support systems revolve around our ability to pay our supporting vendors and receive payments from customers in a timely manner. We are looking for a full-time accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:
-Track all payments and expenditures, including invoices, statements, etc.
-Audit all payment requests for appropriate signatures and backup received for payment
-Maintain and update files and reports related to payables
-Work with vendors to get copies of invoices, W9 information, or coordinate payments
-Work with staff to collect missing documentation, signatures, or receipts.
-Manage and track vendor payments to ensure expenses and financial reports are accurate.
-Place and process office supplies orders
-Assist with audit by pulling documentation and completing ad hoc projects to support department needs
-Support month and year end processes and proper reconciliation of bank records
-Collect time-off requests and maintain attendance records
-Assist in meter and mail signed checks to vendors (as needed)
-Communicate with vendors, as needed, on regular basis-
-Scan completed vendor bills once completed
-Assist in facilitate funds in transfer movement and backup (if needed)
-Assist with the onboarding of all new employees, temp, 1099s, and contractors
-Administer all employee benefits and ensure effective and timely communication
-Develop, implement and maintain effective compliance with applicable employment regulations
-Oversee and help track all trainings including sexual harassment
-Assist in manage employee time and attendance reporting using payroll platform
-Record daily deposits
-Maintain bank balance sheets using excel worksheets
-Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
-Prepare journal entries, EFTs, wires, etc.
-Prepare month end journal entries and schedules
-Prepare and pay FL Sales & Use Tax, Tourist Tax, Communications Tax
-Prepare financial statements
-Update fixed assets additions/deletions and balance schedules to G/L
-Prepare yearly audit schedules and 1099s

Education:
Associate

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
-Accounts Payable: 5 years (Min.)
-Accounting: 5 years (Min.)
-QuickBooks online experience a must!!!
-Spanish speaking (preferred)
