Job Description

Assists VP of Human Resources with tasks related to recruitment, new employee on-boarding and orientation, monthly payroll, employee benefits, personnel filing, and other Human Resources-related projects as needed. Maintains continual communication with VP of Human Resources regarding sensitive Human Resources-related issues requiring immediate resolution / the attention of management. Responds to employee inquiries pertaining to Human Resources policies and employee benefits. Provides support to the payroll function by entering data related to salary increases, changes to voluntary deductions and other payroll-related matters.

Duties:
- Maintains and ensures accuracy of employee records including name and address changes, complete I-9's, benefits enrollment forms, etc.
- Submits COBRA notifications as needed.
- Places announcements on intranet regarding publicly known employee changes and updates.
- Pulls credit and does criminal background and bondability checks for all potential candidates.
- Sends out Pre-Adverse and Adverse Action reports.
- Schedule, gather information, distribute information & notices for monthly All Staff Meeting.
- Create & track Forum badges.
- Maintains membership with Flathead Valley SHRM and National SHRM.
- Ability to maintain complete discretion with regard to employee and Human Resources department matters which require confidentiality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
- An interest in continually learning about the numerous facets of the Human Resources field; being willing and able to attend seminars, webinars, conferences, and additional training as requested and required.

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Skills:
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma
- 3-5 years professional office experience.
- 1-2 years professional banking or credit union experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of professional Human Resources experience preferred.
