Job Description

Spherion is hiring a temporary HR Generalist to work REMOTELY for one of our clients! The HR Generalist is primarily responsible for the administration and implementation of various HR programs, systems, and initiatives to support accomplishment of organizational goals and help ensure all organizational compliance needs are being met. The HR Generalist further provides general HR support to all field team members as necessary to ensure employee needs are being met.

Responsibilities:
1.Aid management in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements
2.Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
a.Manages Labor Law poster subscription services for all locations, ensuring that all FinishMaster locations meet all Federal, State, and Local notifications/posting requirements
3.Assists with initial unemployment claims
4.Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel
5.Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
6.Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
7.Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
8.Conducts employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives
9.Assists employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing
10.Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
11.Workers??? Compensation claims management
12.Administers and explains benefits to employees, and serves as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers
13.Respond to subpoena requests for employment records in a timely manner
14.Tracks safety stats and OSHA logs company wide
15.Administers Accident Reporting and post-accident drug screening
16.Administers MVR Reporting
17.Work with supervisors to implement progressive discipline
18.Advise employees and supervisors about company personal policies, benefits and procedures, etc.
19.Enters data into HRIS system ensuring the accuracy of information
20.Administration of HR Learning Management Systems
a.Maintains system learners
b.Managers curriculum assignments as directed
c.Manages communications about the system and responses to issues and questions related to the LMS
21.Responsible for the maintenance and administration of HR ??? Service Window
22.Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
23.Prepares reports as required and/or needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
24.Participates in administrative of Safety Committee
25.Performs other related duties as required and assigned
