Job Description

- Administer the company's Temporary Agricultural Workers Program -H2A.
- Ensure compliance with US Department of Labor, Federal and State rules, regulations and procedures as related to employment, safety and immigration/work visa requirements.
- Administer program requirements for housing and transportation.
- Assist with vendor recruiting strategies for the program.
- Assist in facilitating any compliance issues with H2A requirements.
- Conduct and regularly review and update H2A employee orientation and safety training as needed.
- Handle all H2A employee matters related to wages, injuries and medical visits, social security administration, safety, housing and transportation.
- Facilitates the arrival and departure activities for the H2A program.
- Drives H2A employees to any necessary appointments or medical visits.
- Interprets and explains policies and procedures for workers and ensures that they comprehend and will follow the policies and procedures.
- Acts as a liaison between the workers, company's management, communicating any issues, questions and suggestions between the groups.
- Maintain detailed records for potential audits and inspections. Acts as liaison with auditors to ensure H2A program is in compliance.
- Conduct various administrative and record keeping activities.
- Facilitate employee relations, coaching and disciplinary actions (including termination) if required.

Responsibilities:
responsible for the administration of the H2A (Temporary Agricultural Workers Program) program and provide support to the Human Resources, Payroll and Safety team.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
--Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in HR or in administering an H2A program or similar immigration program.
--Agricultural industry experience an asset.
--Working knowledge of Health and Safety/Food Safety policies and procedures preferred.
--Ability to research and familiarize oneself with laws, regulations and programs along with comprehension and execution of such items.
--MUST BE PROFICIENT in BOTH English and Spanish - verbally and written.
--Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
--Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
--Drivers License and clean MVR record.
--Strong organizational skills and multi-tasker.
--Strong project management skills.
--Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
--Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
--Enjoy working in a fast paced, results driven environment.
--Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
--Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field helpful/preferred

High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
MUST be Bilingual and have strong administrative skills.
