Are you an HR Professional looking for a fresh new position and the opportunity to join a small, family-oriented team? Join our client's HR department! They are a pharmaceutical company located on the East side of Madison.

JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist position executes Human Resources (HR) programs, policies and procedures relating to recruitment, employee relations, benefits, payroll, safety and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) administration; Performs HR project work as assigned.


- Recruitment
o Partners with managers to identify temporary staffing needs during peak seasons.
o Serves as a liaison with the local community and area schools to secure a strong pipeline of future candidates.
o Develops recruitment advertisements and evaluates recruitment efforts to analyze costs and effectiveness of recruiting sources.
o Performs on-boarding activities and coordinates submission of all appropriate new hire paperwork.

- Employee Relations
o Assists managers, supervisors, and employees on employee relations matters and employment practices.
o Facilitates consistent interpretation, application and execution of HR programs, policies and procedures.

You will also be responsible for Benefits, HRIS, Payroll, Training and Development and Safety duties!

Working hours: Mon-Fri

EXPERIENCE: Three or more years exempt-level Human Resources experience.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification preferred.

REQUIREMENTS: Basic knowledge and experience with HRIS. Solid knowledge state and federal employment laws and industry standards. Must have excellent communication skills; be detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; be flexible, assertive, and composed under pressure. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and use/demonstrate good judgement in handling confidential information. Requires the discretion to appropriately document employee issues, summarizing or providing detail where applicable, to ensure legal compliance and mitigate company risk.
