Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and for maintaining an employee centric culture. The Generalist will consult with the Senior Manager, Human Resources on all human resource issues for the region.

--Assist in developing an employee-centric company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance
--Work closely with local management to provide guidance on policies and procedures
--Assist with maintaining and updating the employee handbook
--Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws
--Participate in recruiting events
--Post open positions on appropriate job boards
--Screen resumes per job qualifications
--Conduct pre-screening phone interviews of qualified candidates
--Schedule interviews at the request of the hiring manager
--Order background checks and drug tests and track results to completion
--Conduct reference checks and verify previous employment
--Review all pre-employment paperwork, new hire documents and verify right to work
--Facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinate with cross functional departments to deliver an exceptional onboarding experience
--Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions
--Conduct and process exit interviews and facilitate termination procedures
--Provide support to employees on various HR related topics and resolve any issues that may arise
--Ensure staff duties are aligned with job description
--Backup for timesheet process and procedures in HR Admin?s absence ? All other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

--Excellent written and verbal communications skills
--Proficient knowledge of employment laws, employee benefits (including ACA) and best practices regarding employee engagement
--Experience and proficiency in FMLA
--Proven skills in balancing advocacy for staff, management and the organization
--Ability to maintain confidentiality
--Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
--Proficient skills in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
--Detail oriented, organized, able to prioritize. Strong ability to multitask and change priorities
--Must have clear driving record


1-4 years

--Bachelor's degree in human resources field or Bachelor's of Business with concentration in Human Resources
--A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in human resource position and recruiting experience
--PHR or SHRM Certification preferred
--Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed to complete tasks timely
--Must be available to rotate between regional offices
--Must be able to pass criminal background and drug test
--Must have clear driving record
