Job Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the input and tracking of payroll hours of staff into the payroll processing software, along with the tracking and input of all personnel activity reports from staff. The HR Manager is the first line of information and support to staff regarding any human resource issues including the interpretation and implementation of the employee handbook as well as the coordination of staff meetings and motivational support programs for staff. This position must perform such duties as data entry, computer support, maintenance of employee records and files, copying, and telephone inquiries are required. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and must be able to function as a team member and work on multiple issues with executive management and staff. The HR Manager will also support internal and external programs that benefit the organization as a whole. The position requires excellent organizational skills and advanced computer literacy in a Windows and Internet environment.

Responsibilities:
??? Providing all necessary HR support to staff as needed and requested:
-Training staff in the usage and understanding of the employee handbook
-Training staff in the process for the tracking of hours worked using the appropriate software or time sheets
-Assisting staff in obtaining any HR related answers from our Professional Employer Organization and provides necessary support to management
-Performing all new employee orientations
-Acting as a liaison with the employee staffing agency
??? Administering and providing support for all company benefits:
-Acting as the liaison with the insurance carrier ensuring the proper and timely submission of paperwork, renewals and employee coverage
-Providing support for staff regarding benefits offered by the company such as health insurance, vision, dental, and any other products offered by the company
-Tracking the employee deductions for the payment and billing of the insurance carriers
-Acting as liaison with the 401K management company
??? Maintaining employee records and files according to Federal and State regulations:
-Following all laws and regulations regarding the proper maintenance and filing of all personnel records
-Following all HIPAA related processes and retention laws
-Following all HR mandated processes
??? Processing payroll according to company processes and Federal and State laws:
-Tracking employee hours
-Tracking employee personnel activity reports
-Inputting payroll data into the designated software
-Ensuring the accuracy of all the data input and reported
-Reconciling and tracking all employee hours, vacations, sick time, and benefit deductions
-Generating necessary reports for payroll approval and presents to the CEO prior to final authorization
-Generating necessary reports as per company policies for submission to the accounting department as required
??? Working in external and internal projects that enhance the mission and vision of the company
??? Performing general duties as requested.
??? Assisting staff in completing employment forms and follow-up HR paper work.
??? Performing HR tasks such as copying, filing, and data entry.
??? Performing other job related functions and special projects as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Advanced computer literacy in a Windows and Internet environment
- Possess the ability to bend, stoop, and lift at least 30 lbs., and be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with confidential information

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in an HR related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience performing Human Resources duties and responsibilities
- Working knowledge of payroll processing with a third party administrator
- Hands-on experience in dealing with employee benefits
