Job Description

Spherion is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician.

We are looking for someone with 2-3 years experience performing industrial maintenance in a manufacturing and/or production environment.

Chief Duties and Responsibilities: The following are representative of the major job responsibilities for this position. This job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the employee.

- Work with others on the management team and lead operators to ensure that all equipment is running at satisfactory level.
- Receive work instructions, oral and /or written instructions, drawings, outline sketches, etc. from Plant manager and production management team.
- Must possess leadership and management skills required to teach, train, communicate, and work with operators and management team.
- Perform the required team job functions needed to modify, rebuild, repair, or overhaul and refurbish machinery. Must have the ability to lead others and work directly with lead operators in this process.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, malfunctions, disassemble, repair, and assemble multiple function electrical/electronic control units on all types of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service or replace electronic, mechanical devices and systems.
- Tear down, overhaul, repair, replace parts, reassemble, and try out various electrical or mechanical equipment. Heavy lifting is required.
- Lead, plan and schedule down time for equipment to perform preventative maintenance.
- Fabricate parts when they are not available using machine and welder, cutting torch, and hand tools common to industrial maintenance.
- Start up and shut down equipment/machines in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements. We are an OSHA SHARP certified facility.

Working hours: 1st shift
