This is a direct-hire position. The pay range is $20 to $24 per year based on experience. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available and extra pay is offered to employees willing to work during the holidays. This is a swing shift position - training for 6 to 8 weeks on days and then transitioning to a team on the swing shift.

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for helping to ensure the overall continuous operation of properties both from a production as well as a facilities perspective. You'll have a chance to collaborate with management to prioritize needs and identify improvement opportunities

- Follow all procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Skillfully perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and physical structures
- Works within the Programmable Logic Controller with basic level of supervision
- Records daily tasks including shift reports and work orders in a timely, accurate fashion
- Utilizes blueprints to understand machinery, facilities maintenance requirements
- Performs general inspection to discern basic equipment failures and need for maintenance on equipment
- Makes basic repairs within guidelines and authority limit; performs basic wiring tasks
- Accurately prioritizes maintenance jobs in order of importance and keep downtime to a minimum
- Ensures inventory is returned to proper locations and general housekeeping tasks are completed
- Recognizes and offers suggestions for improved processes and procedures to assist with efficient management of maintenance tasks and service provided to all departments
- Engages in continuous learning attending seminars, trainings, classes

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

- Ability to read, understand and utilize blueprints (schematics)
- Basic to Intermediate wiring skills
- Experienced in diagnosing and troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, experienced in industrial 3 phase electrical systems
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of hand and other maintenance-related tools and can identify proper tools for various jobs; including digital and analog voltmeter, amp meters
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment while adapting to fast-paced environment and rapid changes.
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills combined with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to promote teamwork within the organization
- Dependable, reliable, punctual and flexibility to be on call if/when maintenance issues arise
- Ability to climb, kneel, stand, crouch, stoop, been, squat, work on elevated platforms, lift up to 65 pounds, use PPE when required

High School

1-4 years

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Minimum of one to three years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment working on both facilities and machinery
- Maintenance in a plastics manufacturing environment
- Preferred experience with industrial 3 phase electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Electrical and mechanical industrial experience is required
- Allen Bradley PLC experience is a plus
