Job Description

A premiere manufacturing company, has an opening for an INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in the Polk County area. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling the facility electrical projects, including electrical/PLC, valves, pumps, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:
Uses analytical troubleshooting skills to make repairs and corrections based on observation of equipment in operation and product defects.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem area or to install new or repaired parts.
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems. Repairs or replaces defective parts in machinery.
- Rebuilds assemblies and internal drives
- Performs machine conversions and major overhauls to equipment
- Realigns and adjusts machine components
- Inspects used parts to determine if they meet acceptable standards for use in equipment.
- Repairs and replaces gages, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Lubricates and cleans parts including bearings, shafts and gears
- Tests machines following repairs to ensure good product quality prior to returning machine to service.
- Performs preventive maintenance functions.
- Orders parts as required and uses computerized maintenance system to keep accurate maintenance records
- Informs appropriate management personnel of equipment and parts needs.
- Complies with all company plant, safety, and GMP's rules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Schedule: Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
-Diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills to analyze mechanical problems
-Ability to work, with limited supervision
-Ability to work overtime as needed
-Ability to work every other weekend
-Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma/GED
-3 to 5 years experience industrial mechanical experience working on high-speed manufacturing equipment
-Two years of experience working with mechanical pneumatic, valves, pumps, hydraulic and electrical systems
-3 to 5 years industrial electrical experience
