Job Description

Spherion is seeking an Injection Molding Operator for our client in Cameron, TX. Our client is a furniture manufacturing company with a long history in Milam County. The ideal candidate will be able to set up and operate injection-molding machines to cast products from thermoplastic materials. The candidate will be expected to set machine controls, regulate molding temperature, volume of plastic, molding pressure and time, according to knowledge of plastics and molding procedures. The successful candidate will be flexible, team-oriented, and will be able to perform various tasks in support of injection molding operations. We're looking for a highly organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in terms of safety, security and accuracy. This opportunity is a temp to hire position that has a beginning pay rate of $9/hour, and is an excellent opportunity for the right professional.

You will work in a manufacturing environment and contribute to organizational success by accomplishing daily production goals.
You will accomplish your tasks by:
- Following written and verbal instructions.
- Maintaining concentration over a long period of time (12 hours).
- Repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Carrying and moving various-sized items.
- Utilizing attention to safety precautions and practicing common sense.
- Removing finished product from dies, using handtools.
- Standing for long periods of time (12 hours) in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Dumping premixed plastic powders or pellets into hopper, and starts machine.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

- Operation Monitoring: Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Monitoring: Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Operation and Control: Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Quality Control Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Speaking: Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Time Management: Managing one's own time and the time of others.

High School

1-4 years

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to consent to background screen if necessary.
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug testing.
- 1-4 years of manufacturing, production, or injection molding operations.
- Ability to work for long periods of time (12 hours) in a non-climate controlled environment.
