Job Description

My client, an industry leading Plastic Mold Injection facility in Martinsburg, WV is looking for Direct Hire candidates who match the background for a variety of roles including: Automation Technicians, Process Technicians, Tooling Technicians.

1) Automation Technicians- High school diploma or GED. Must possess mechanical aptitude. Ability to learn injection molding equipment, assembly processes, auxiliary equipment, decorating equipment, robots, and automation equipment. Commitment to enroll in and/or completion of the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program. Must possess own tools for use on the job. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer experience. Must be able to troubleshoot complex servo driven systems, vacuum circuits, and PLC controlled machines; and read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.

2) Process Technicians- High school diploma or GED, 3+ years of Injection Molding experience. Assists with the startup of jobs for manufacturing by following the daily schedule. Responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping in the manufacturing areas. Responsible for adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures. Ensures that the maximum output and cycle times of jobs running in manufacturing. Assists in the setup of molds and automation as needed. Responsible for identifying and presenting cost saving ideas to the plant manager. Assists in material changeovers as needed. Maintain and service molds as needed. Ensure assigned preventative maintenance work orders are completed in a timely manner. Follow all safety guidelines. Complete all scheduled/required training. Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.

3) Tooling Technicians- General knowledge of Injection Molding and manufacturing operations preferred. Basic mold tooling and assembly knowledge preferred. Enrollment/participation in the apprenticeship program required. Supports production by maintaining all molds in a production ready state. Repairs, cleans, services and performs insert changes on all molds. Wire Hot runners, hot sprue, thermocouples in addition to replace hot runner components. Wire limit switches
