Our firm is searching for an experienced Interior Designer to work at our local client's site here in Montgomery, AL. The Interior Designer will be part of a collaborative team of sales motivated individuals that are full of artistic ability and creativity. The successful candidate will provide design team leadership in all project phases from initial development to completion and assist in the design and documentation of interior spaces. The Interior Designer is responsible for providing design services to help customers choose materials and furnishings and will determine how interior spaces will function, look, and be furnished. This is an exciting place to work with a beautiful working showroom and a great group of people to work with.

- Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs, including sample fabrics, furniture, tables and accessory recommendations.
- Determine the client's goals and requirements for the project
- Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space
- Specify materials and furnishings for customer design projects
- Create a timeline for the interior design project and estimate project costs
- Place orders for materials and oversee the installation of the design elements
- Ensure that the client is satisfied
- Undertaking design project from concept to completion
- Drives sales
- Meets established goals set by management
- Meet and greet customers as they come into the store
- Make sound business decisions to deliver customer satisfaction and promote team environment

Working hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

- Artistic ability: use their sense of style to develop designs that are aesthetically pleasing.
- Creativity: needs to be imaginative in selecting furnishings and fabrics and in creating spaces that serve the client's needs and fit the client's lifestyle.
- Interpersonal skills: needs to be able to communicate effectively with clients and others. Much of their time is spent soliciting new clients and new work and collaborating with ongoing projects.
- Problem-solving skills: must address challenges, such as construction delays and the high cost or sudden unavailability of certain materials, while keeping the project on time and within budget.
- Visualization: sense of proportion and visual awareness in order to understand how pieces of a design will fit together to create the intended interior environment.


1-4 years

- BS degree in Interior Design or similar
- Previous selling experience preferred
- Excellent portfolio of previous works
- Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
- Communication and presentation skills
- Project management skills
- Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience using floor and space planning applications
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
