Job Description

Spherion Staffing has partnered with Hubbell Lighting in Plympton, MA!

We are looking to add to their staff with an Inventory Control Supervisor! Apply today to be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Supervision of the Inventory Control group.
- Develop and administer inventory control policies and procedures.
- Attain and maintain 95% inventory accuracy metric.
- Administer a rigorous Cycle Counting and Corrective Actions regime throughout the plant.
- Manage the annual Physical Inventory process.
- Develop and administer a plan for every part
- Every item in stock to have a formal policy: safety stock, lot size, expected inventory, min, max.
- Monitor the flow of materials through the manufacturing processes. Develop Priority Planning and Dispatching capabilities to ensure that the right combination of materials is available at the right time.
- Maintain BOM and Routing accuracy.
- Responsible for communicating with all departments on any inventory discrepancies or issues.
- Reconcile Inventory discrepancies.
- Investigate the root cause for all inventory problems.
- Forward requests to Inventory Control Coordinator to have counts corrected in the system to maintain accurate Inventory levels.
- Responsible for communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for providing clear leadership, direction and guidance to employees through your specific knowledge of the product and processes in your area of responsibility.
- Approving timecards on weekly basis.
- Approving vacation/personal days.
- Assist Human Resources in resolving personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Responsible for doing Behavioral Based Observation on daily basis.
- Responsible for daily safety talks.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Skills:
- Good overall understanding of the ERP system (SAP).
- Expertise in the Materials Management modules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Project).

Education:
Associate

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a supervisory role in a manufacturing plant environment is preferred.
- Associates degree required.
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain or Operations is preferred
- 5 years of experience in inventory control.
- Training & experience implementing LEAN manufacturing lines/cells is a plus.
