Job Description

This role is responsible for the planning and management of raw material and packaging inventory along with other responsibilities in support of plant operations.

Balance supply and inventory levels to support demand projections and align with production needs.
Identifies areas of risk and proactively executes change order to address production or scheduling issues.
Evaluates safety stock levels at all points of supply by maintaining Inventory management control procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Product Line, including New Product introduction.
Identify aging/risk inventory and drive mitigation and expedite plan with sales and supply chain teams.
Reviews inventory planning recommendations and manage orders based on established ERP processes.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Develops reports and analysis to alert the executive team on areas that will impact the Integrated Business Plan.
Work closely with facility managers, sourcing agents, procurement and production scheduler to meet supply targets.
Prepare and release purchase requisitions for all Raw Material and Packaging.
Ensure FIFO principle are adhered to for all Raw Material and Packaging.
Action inventory management control procedure for all Raw Material and Packaging items for the site.
This role acts as back-up for the Production Scheduler.

SAP Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs ??? Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Effective organizational skills
Ability to manage workload by identifying priorities on a real time basis
Must be customer oriented (both internal and external customers)
Ability problem solving skills.
Proficient working knowledge of Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods regulations under Department of Transportation, International Civil Aviation Organization and International Maritime Organization; documentation of certification at previous employment required
Knowledge and leading capability in safety, health and environmental aspects and other regulatory/compliance requirements appropriate to related functions.
Strong knowledge and understanding of transportation industry, especially Less-than-truckload, Truckload, and Tanker modes, including industry terminology, freight cost components, capacity, and operational models.
