Job Description

The IT Network Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of computer hardware and software that
comprises the organization's network. This includes deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring
active servers and network equipment. The goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication
networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the organization's users, such as staff,
clients, customers and suppliers. The IT Network Engineer is also responsible for the maintenance and
administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital
assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches as well as a vast array of
additional technologies inclusive of both hardware and software.

Responsibilities:
Monitoring and maintenance of existing Physical and virtual servers.
Performs new installs/re-installs w/o assistance.
Provides Basic Training to end users.
Verifies work is complete before leaving area.
Troubleshoots basic faulty equipment problems, identifies issues and conducts replacement or repair.
Quickly identifies issues beyond scope and routes complex problems to IT Infrastructure Manager or
vendor escalation
Follows up on faulty equipment and warranties as needed.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and /or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,
and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. IP subnetting,
supernetting, and masking are required. Binary and hexadecimal calculation are a plus.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an
extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and
concrete variables. The ideal candidate will understand logical thought and look at things in an analytical

Systems, Microsoft Office software, have a basic understanding of a DICOM PACS system.
