Job Description


We are partnering with Intelligen, a division of ABS Global, working with amazing new technology!  This is a wonderful entry level lab position operating production equipment for processing cell sorting technology. Join a global leader in bovine genetics based in Windsor, WI. This role ensures quality control best practices are developed, implemented and maintained. He/she will have a thorough knowledge of the team processes and will suggest improvements to process, and will be a knowledge resource for other team members.


  • Oversee and monitor the inspection and testing of products to ensure adherence to established quality requirements
  • Working team member that will conduct as well as coordinate the work of others on the Quality Control team and will validate the work of his/her team, associated with the following routine assays:
  • Post Thaw Progressive Motility
  • Bacterial Contamination Plating
  • Preferential Cell Sorting
  • DNA Extraction and Purification
  • Amplification Assays
  • Recommends changes in  specifications of testing materials (consumables and reagents), and products based on inspection results and data analysis
  • Generate, prepare and issue data for assigned quality reports.
  • May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with standard laboratory practices and procedures.  Practice safe work habits always (chemical safety, lifting, wearing personal protective equipment)


  • Bachelor's degree in a science discipline or technical field
  • 2+ years working in a Quality Control environment following standardized operating procedures/processes
  • Experience with using and troubleshooting complex laboratory equipment used in quality control release assays
  • Experience with plating samples for bacterial analysis
  • Experience with PCR analysis; familiarity with complex PCR analysis concepts and their application in a QC environment (qPCR, Multiplex PCR, rtPCR)
  • Experience with enterprise planning and reporting software utilized to release batches and analyze trends
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in quality compliance programs such as ISO, cGMP or similar
