Job Description

Our client, a leader in the medical device manufacturing field, is seeing a Lab Tech with a phlebotomy background to join their growing team.

In this position, you will be responsible for formulating all reagents and solutions necessary for production, using approved manufacturing procedures and completing all required paperwork.  You will perform in-process tests of formulated solutions/products and quality testing of products to ensure functionality and performance of finished products. Finally, you'll be responsible to maintain laboratory equipment to established standards.

Your typical day will include performing laboratory tasks, under direction of supervision, to support production facility and research work, performing basic calculations related to measuring and preparation of solutions, formulating all the necessary solutions for the production facility according to established procedures and utilizing standard laboratory equipment, and calibrating laboratory equipment.  You will also perform quality testing on products using human and animal blood so some hematology or phlebotomy experience is definitely helpful.  You will maintain accurate records and documentation as related to various laboratory and production tasks and do so in a timely manner and will work according to instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform duties.

Qualification

Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to multi-task.

Education and /or experience:
• AS degree in Medical Technology or completion of an MLT program
• 2 years experience in a laboratory environment
• Phlebotomy certification highly desirable
• OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
