Laundry Sorter

Job Description

The primary purpose of the Laundry Sorter is to fold, sort, stack, and package cleaned linen or sort into dirty laundry into organized hampers in preparation for shipment/delivery.

Schedule: 5:00am - finish *MUST be able to work 12-14 hours shifts*

*Non-climate controlled environment.*

Limited 2nd shift available in the Shipping Department.

Responsibilities:
- Sort linens into industrial sized hamper
- Remove clean linens and fold as needed
- Stack and pack clean linens
- Prepare clean linens for shipment or delivery
- Quality control of all linens

Working hours: 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Skills:
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without an accommodation.
- Must be able to count
- Must be able to read to comprehend written materials
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a noisy environment

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
0-1 years

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Ability to speak and read English (orientations conducted in English and Spanish)
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time (12-14 hour shifts)
