Job Description

Under direct supervision, perform a variety of standard, generally repetitive, manufacturing activities involved in the fabrication, assembly or machine operations required to manufacture composite parts or assemblies. Follows general instructions, drawings, specifications, standard practice and recognized methods to perform operations needed to produce prototype and/or production composite parts, components and assemblies.

Responsibilities:
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials using visual, scales and precision instruments.
- Assist to deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
- Assist to ensure that examining and inspecting containers, materials, and products meet packing specifications.
- Assist to prevent loads from swinging by guiding them.
- Ensure that examining and inspecting containers, materials, and products meet packing specifications.
- Assist to move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
- Assist to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to specifications by conferring or corresponding with establishment representatives.
- Assist to lift cargo and guide loads by attaching slings, hooks or other devices.
- Assist to carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
- Assist to pack containers and re-pack damaged containers using designated packing materials.
- Assist to pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.

Working hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Skills:
- Requires a thorough working knowledge of aircraft airframe metal and composites manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Requires the ability to rapidly read and interpret complex blueprints, mylars, operation sheets and specifications.
- Requires an understanding of ISO 9001 Quality System principles and requirements.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills and a working knowledge of personal computer operation, word processing software, spreadsheet software and MRP systems.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- Must show stable work history (minimum one year at current or previous employer)
- Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift
- High school diploma or GED required.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience (2 years of high school and 3-4 years work experience) will be considered.
