Job Description

Local company seeking seeking an experienced Lease Administrator to work in Frederick, MD. The position will report to the Director of Real Estate.

The position will be responsible for creating, maintaining, updating, and organizing all lease and property related information for company owned and leased offices and properties throughout the company. The Lease Administrator will be a key contributor to the company's Corporate Real Estate Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Abstract all lease documents, including property information, monthly recurring rents, security deposits and non-financial clauses;
  • Accurately enter lease information and owned properties into lease administration and property tracking system;
  • Verify monthly recurring rent payments and communicate with landlords to exchange information, resolve discrepancies, correct errors and clarify issues related to invoices, statements, recurring rents, security deposits and all related issues;
  • Work with Accounts Payable department to facilitate the interface to the accounting system and ensure timely and accurate rent payments;
  • Verify property tax payments and other property-related fees and work with Accounting department to ensure timely and accurate payments;
  • Assist the department in generating ad-hoc reports using report writer tool in lease administration system;
  • Assist with the company?s transition to the new FASB requirements, including securing, inputting, and processing all new data requirements;
  • Create and update all new and existing lease files, including filing correspondence, abstracts, paperwork, etc. in both electronic and hard copy form as appropriate;
  • Review and verify all landlord ownership changes; request additional documentation as necessary;
  • Request updates, changes or cancellations of Certificates of Insurance as needed; manage the renewal and distribution of all COIs prior to expiration;
  • Maintain and track all security deposits;


Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Good verbal and written communications and public relations skills
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills


Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:

  • MUST have 3-5 years of COMMERCIAL real estate experience
  • Experience reading leases and basic understanding of lease terms
  • Experience with lease administration systems
