Job Description

A Professional IT company, located in the Monmouth County area is seeking a self-starting, driven candidate to join their team as a Level 2 Technician. This company's goal is to provide Superior Business Telephony Solutions to small and mid-sized businesses, with consistently reliable technology and genuinely caring customer service. This is a full time position with a 40 hour work week.This position is the liaison between the customer service team and the developers. Internally, this is a pleasant and positive work environment that is offering a temp to perm position.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or the equivalent of 4-5 years information technological work experience with a minimum of 2-3 years in desktop and IP telephony.
- General VoIP Telephony experience
- Familiarity with SIP trunk
- Must be able to communicate technical information in a manner that can be understood by non-technical individuals clearly.
- Excellent knowledge of routing and switching
- Advanced knowledge and experience with network troubleshooting
- Minimum of 3 years of working knowledge and/or formal training in Microsoft Operating Systems for workstations (Windows 7 and Windows 10), Microsoft office applications and PC hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, thin clients).
- Intermediate networking (LAN/WAN) experience, preferred.
- Intermediate experience Mobile devices and management systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to provide on-call support as needed.
- Ability to prioritize/determine urgency for issues and work with limited to no supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work with customers to effectively assist with solving technical issues with satisfactory results.

Working hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM

Skills:
RESPONSIBILITES:
--Troubleshoot end user connectivity issues-Tier 2
--Maintain records in telecommunications, network management and help desk software
--Assist with implementation and management of IP phone infrastructure
--Support the telecommunications rooms, fiber backbone connections, and other communications equipment through maintenance, labeling, and regular cleaning
--Provide day-to-day maintenance and support of networking that pertains to VoIP systems
--This position will require some evening and weekend work
--Coordinate efforts to diagnose and troubleshoot systemic issues amongst other teams within Advanced Operations or in other departments.
--Advanced troubleshooting of various circuit types
--Perform liaison role between customer service and developers
--Assist in process development, improvement, and documentation
