Job Description

Are you an experience Loan Processor looking for a new opportunity in the Waco, TX Area? If so, this job may be for you!
Full-time hours, temp-to-hire opportunity, working with a well-established local company.

The Loan Processor is responsible for working with the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer & Loan Officer in the preparation and processing of the paperwork for loans and foreclosure programs.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Work with clients to complete loan applications.
Collect and prepare all necessary documentation for the loan package.
Responsible for loan packaging
Collect and verify employment and financial data.
Handles inquiries and document requests from clients, realtors and colleagues
Submits processed loan and grant applications to supervisor for approval.
Prepare and maintain all paperwork for existing and new loans, including loan disclosures.
Handle routine questions from clients.
Communicate with customers as needed for additional documentation and follow up to obtain documents.
Perform income and asset analysis, DTI, LTV calculations, clearing conditions, reviewing appraisals, titles and insurance and clearing conditions.
Conduct file review, opening escrow, ordering title, ordering verifications, insurance updates, appraisal follow-up, file submission satisfying common mortgage conditions and follow-ups.
Process the documentation for each loan file verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document. Update data on computer system as soon as documents are received.
Maintain records, reports and files.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Light Physical Demands, Works mostly in a climate controlled indoor environment.

Qualifications to include, but not limited to:
The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in mortgage loan packaging or real estate financing. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the processing of loan applications, with the experience and capability of the following:

Interpret complex housing rules and regulations to determine eligibility for loans and grants.
Work cooperatively with other employees and the public.
Communicate orally with customers, clients or the public in face-to- face, one-to-one settings, or using the telephone.
Comprehend and make inferences from written material.
Learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation to effectively perform job duties. This learning takes place mainly in an on-the-job setting.
Strong organization, follow-up and file urgency is required.
Professional phone demeanor is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with deadlines.

Other Requirements:
This position requires a valid Texas Driver?s License.
Be at assigned work places during regularly scheduled times.
Must have the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
