Job Description

Spherion Staffing is seeking a Forklift Operator for a local client, to work in their lumber yard. Qualified candidates should have knowledge of lumber species and grades for this position.

Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay: $15/hour

- Package and Stack Lumber using a Forklift
- Unload and properly store incoming inventory
- Maintain inventory control
- Move assigned stock into treating plant for processing
- Insure proper rotation of treated materials
- Handle and Care for equipment
- Maintain a safe and organized working area
- Other work duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-High School diploma or GED
-Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations
-Knowledge of lumber species and grades
-Knowledge of equipment that could be used-various saws, sanders, power and hand tools, pre finished equipment and hydraulic lifting equipment-forklifts and electric jacks
-Ability to complete math of moderate difficulty
-Valid Driver's License
-Capable of completing forklift certification

Dress Code: Casual
Screens: Pre-employment drug test is required
