Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of our manufacturing facilities
and machinery to maximize performance. This position supports production efforts to
meet/exceed daily targets by ensuring that production and plant equipment is well maintained,
perform routine planned maintenance and assure down time is minimized. The technician
performs a variety of general facility maintenance activities and coordinates contractors to fix and
maintain mechanical equipment and machines.

- Maintain and repair all production equipment including preventive maintenance( oil changes, filter replacement)
-Performs mechanical repairs ( such as pump rebuilds, electrical component replacement, etc.)
-Provides support to all departments on facilities-related matters such as plumbing,painting,electrical, and hydraulics systems, etc.
-Specifies and orders required repair parts and supplies.
-Schedules major equipment and electrical repairs with appropriate supervision.
-Follows all safety procedures and guidelines including Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP); conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Ensures city,
county, state and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are
met at all time.
- Interacts and coordinates with all departments.
- Responsible for allocated workload and meets all targets as agreed with
- Flexibility to be able to work from one project to a different one with short notice.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 75 pounds; lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Must have ability to stand, bend, kneel and move around for hours at a time.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment which includes a well-organized
maintenance shop, including keeping spare parts inventory accurate.

High School

4-7 years

- 5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- High school graduate or GED equivalent, technical college and/or certification a plus.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills using a methodical problem-solving approach.
- Thorough understanding of the manufacturing environment, requirements and

- Interpersonal, organizational and communications skills required.
- Basic working knowledge of computer software, e.g., word processing, email and
- Work unsupervised, be a self-starter and a quick learner.
- Remain calm under pressure and able to react to time sensitive repairs.
