Job Description

Local Manufacturing company is seeking an Experienced Machine Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and also do facilities maintenance.

- Completes necessary electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance repairs and building of machinery and equipment. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor, maintains time and production records to ensure maintenance stays on schedule.
- Completes preventive maintenance checks and services for machinery and facilities. Shares results with appropriate individuals to ensure appropriate corrective actions take place.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized training in metalworking or woodworking preferred.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician is desirable.
- Basic mechanical and metalworking/woodworking skills required.

High School

1-4 years

- Demonstrated ability to utilize power and hand tools, including, but not limited to: drills, lathes, grinders, mills, saws, or other metalworking or woodworking tools.
- Proven ability to complete tasks in a precise and accurate manner.
- Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and make data driven decisions.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate both orally and written with staff, management, vendors, and customers.
