Job Description

- Starts up/shuts down, loads/unloads and operates machinery and equipment, possibly rotating between all areas of manufacturing.
- Set-up and operate production equipment to produce product that meets internal and external customer demands.
- Assist in the determination of production schedules, raw material needs, and manufacturing operations by communicating effectively with team members and support departments.
- Assist with routine administrative tasks and department back-up functions to ensure the timely and effective completion of projects and the smooth operation of the department in support of team and divisional goals.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that interfaces well with customers, clients, co-workers, and management members.
- Continually monitor manufacturing methods, processes and procedures to ensure departmental and business goals are met while maintaining or improving cost competitiveness, which includes identifying, recommending, and implementing necessary improvements.
- Follow and continually monitor established safety procedures to assure a clean and safe work environment is promoted and maintained. Actively participates in 5S and TPM.
- Provide quality in all goods and services delivered to internal and external customers through an approach of thorough planning, responsible implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Adheres to established environmental, health and safety practices.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing process flow and associated documentation.

Working hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm

--High school education or equivalent
--Able to operate systems to assure product meets engineering specifications
--Able to read/write/understand English alpha-numeric characters
--Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
--Able to read and interpret engineering documents, process flow diagrams and control plans
--Able to read process meters and gauges
--Able to safely operate a walk-around lift, overhead hoist, power loader and hand tools
--Able to maintain process control charts for processing equipment, either manually or on computer

--Able to troubleshoot process problems
--Able to maintain process solutions and equipment, and assure systems are correct and/or functioning properly
--Machine operator experience

--Safety and environmentally conscientious
--Ability to communicate and interact well with all associates of the organization
