Job Description

Sets up dies to meet production requirements using hand tools
Maintains press settings
Sets up auxiliary equipment for payout and take-up
Inspects parts for blueprint compliance

Responsibilities:
Adjust, clean, and set dies
Request repairs and spare parts from Tool Room
Replace broken or worn parts in the dies as needed
Maintain material inventory control in department
Move finished parts to stock
Visually inspects dies for correct assembly
Check part dimensions using precision measuring tools to determine if die will produce parts to drawing tolerances
Maintain die component inventory
Records die repairs and maintenance in repair log

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
Experience with AS9102 specifically is critical!
Conducts extensive visual inspection and precision mechanical inspection
Basic computer skills, able to learn/use MRP database (SAP experience a plus)
Interprets mechanical drawings and inspects characteristics using standard measurement equipment and special inspection/test equipment
Utilizes standard equipment such as micrometers, comparators, gage blocks, calipers, radius gauges, ring and plug gauges, hardness testers, indicators, thread gauges and protractors

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Must be able to read and understand blueprints
Good mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Minimum two (2) years machine shop experience
Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to use precision measuring tools and hand tools
Read, write, and communicate in English
