Job Description

Operates machine to cut out parts to a specified size and shape, and to perform scoring and face cutting on a variety of materials either sheet or roll-to-roll. Operates steel rule or thermal die cutting press by performing the following duties personally. Positions one or more cutting dies on material or clamps dies to head of machine and positions material under dies to ensure maximum utilization of material.

Willing and able to work in an environment which could require bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, climbing stairs or ladders and working in high (e.g. elevated platforms/workstations, etc.) for at least 12 hours a day
Willing and able to maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
2 years? experience in a fast-paced manufacturing plant (dedicated assembly, warehousing, shipping and receiving not applicable)
Train crew members on various parts of the die cutter to allow employees to flow to work and minimize production interruptions
Properly operate the flat-bed die cutter
Lead set-ups, troubleshooting and making machine adjustments
Bending knives and repairing Knives.
Lead crew to maintain and exceed set production goals
Ensure crew adheres to quality standards and communicate when defects are found
Hold crew accountable for maintaining equipment to appropriate standards
Keep work area clean throughout shift
Perform quality checks as required
Previous experience operating a Bobst Flat-bed Die Cutter.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Systems Analysis - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.

High School

1-4 years

Experience operating a flat-bed die cutter at least one year or more.
