Job Description

Operates one or more primary machines such as screw machines, CNC mills or CNC lathes. Operates/sets up and performs troubleshooting on secondary machines (mills, drills, punches).

Technical Job Functions

Operates one or more primary machines such as screw machines, CNC Mills and CNC lathes.
Operates/sets up and performs troubleshooting on secondary machines such as mills, drills or punches.
Read blueprints, routes and inspection directions to determine job specifications and tolerances. Verifies conformance of parts produced to specification using measuring equipment such as gages, calipers, micrometers, etc.
May make simple tool adjustment or replacements.
May provide basic training to junior department members in the areas of secondary machine operation, basic inspection techniques or to make tool adjustments with limited variables.
Knowledge of basic shop math for determining tolerance limits, counting parts, calculating speeds and feeds, using ratios or percentages, etc.

Authorities and Responsibilities

Position reports to Production Supervisor and must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and co-workers at all levels.
Communicates regularly with Manufacturing Engineering personnel concerning technical issues.
Function in a team environment and work to accomplish team and company goals with ability to compromise and negotiate.
Must be an open communicator about work-related issues.
This position is accountable for producing quality parts on a daily basis without direct supervision.
Must independently complete complex set-ups and machine adjustments, and develop processes.
Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
Assume other projects and responsibilities from time to time as directed by production supervisor.

Working hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Ability to satisfactorily complete and implement all OJT and required trainings
Ability to set up all tooling; write and execute complex programs
Ability to read and understand complex blue prints
Ability to read and use precision measuring tools
Ability to understand and apply job methods and instructions in a timely manner
Ability to determine if parts and assemblies meet quality standards
Very good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

High School Diploma
6 -12 months of experience in Machinery (Base operator)
2 years of experience ( CNC operator)

High School

1-4 years

High School diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous manufacturing experience or specialized training preferred.
Must have legal right to work in US..

Able to work OT, Weekend as regular basis
