Machine Operators/Fabricators

Job Description

Our client, a local industrial company has openings on 1st & 2nd shifts for Fabricator/Machine Operators. **Must have Brake Press Experience!!**

Successful applicant will provide a variety of repetitive tasks following work instructions, visual inspection of finished units and observe all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)


1st shift: $14.42/hr: 6am-4:30p M-Th, 6am-2:30 F.
2nd shift: $16.15/hr (includes the 12% shift diff). 4:10 PM to 2:40 AM , Mon thru Thurs, OT on Friday as needed.


Responsibilities:
- Must assist in the set up and operation of one or more machines throughout the department
- Learn how to read and interpret cut sheets and blueprints for production orders
- Learn the use of the specific measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, tape measures and other tools proficiently and productively
- Use material handling equipment including over-head and jib cranes safely and proficiently
- Remove scrap from torch tables and within the department
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the department

Skills:
Requirements:
-High School diploma or GED
-Must have brake press experience
-Must be able to learn how to use fabrication equipment in the machine shop
-Must be able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices
-Must be able to learn how to read engineering drawings and specifications
-Must be capable of operating over-head and jib cranes safely and proficiently
-Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds on a repetitive basis

Drug Screen and steel toed boots are required
