Ever growing, dynamic, and innovative manufacturer in Odessa is seeking a Machine Shop Manager who has a sense of passion, takes full ownership, responsibility and pride in leading multiple shift teams to produce high quality and high quantity products.

Direct Hire Career Opportunity with Benefits

$75,000 - 85,000 with full benefits package

Our ideal manager will
- Have 5-7 years' experience managing Machine shop activities
- Have experience setting up, programming and operating manual and CNC machine tools and equipment
- Have an understanding and working knowledge of manual and CNC machining environments, general machine shop practices, policies and procedures
- Have working knowledge of metric demensioning
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in a manner that builds a team and earns fellow associate's respect.
- Have the ability to determine and recommend continuous efficiency, workflow, process and equipment improvements
- Be hands on, driving continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating and revising multiple shift schedules and manage time reporting

- Obtain maximum production and utilization of machines, equipment, and associates activities with purchasing, maintenance, engineering and quality control
- Prioritize and revise schedules as unplanned operating problems occur
- Hire, Train, Oversee, Supervise and Manage multiple shift teams
- Recommend and continuously suggest improvements of working conditions, and use of equipment to increase efficiency in departments, associates, production methods, equipment, performance, equipment purchases and overall quality of product
- Monitor budget and actual machining times for components
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications and routings to machine center, delegating tasks as necessary
- Inspect products, direct optimization of setup and adjustments
- Understanding of close tolerance part features using gage blocks, indicators, bore gages, and other similar tools

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Software Knowledge:
--MRP/ERP Systems
--MS Office Suite
--AUTODESK Feature Cam


4-7 years

Education & Experience Required:
- 2 year technical degree, trade school
- 3-5+ years??? training or apprenticeship program certificate in mechanical discipline or tool and die making
- 5-7+ years??? experience managing Machine Shop environment with multiple shifts
