Job Description

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager for our client, a growing company, in Bristol, VT! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager. This role will involve performing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance along side a team of Maintenance Technicians. In addition, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for working with the Electrical Engineer and Fleet Manager to ensure compliance with environmental and safety compliance. The role will include scheduling maintenance, ordering and maintaining a parts inventory, working with outside vendors, training, hiring, and performance managing the maintenance team.

- The position requires broad based skills in mechanical and some electrical diagnosis and repair as well as pneumatics, hydraulics and general familiarity with industrial computer systems.
- The position has overall responsibility for scheduling maintenance for all production machinery, hiring, training and firing maintenance people as well as performing hands on maintenance alongside other maintenance crew members.
- Work with the fleet manager and electrical engineer on whatever issues come along that require a collaborative effort.
- Order parts for repairs and maintain parts inventory for critical parts.
- Work with outside vendors as needed for repairs and updates to their machinery.
- Keep the company in compliance with environmental laws and file required reports as needed, working with the electrical engineer and fleet manager.

Qualifications
-Previous maintenance experience with electrical and/or mechanical repairs
-Ability to work as part of a team as well as manage it
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Strong communication skills
-Scheduling experience preferred
