Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Spherion Staffing is looking for a full time Maintenance Mechanic to work with a client in Hillsboro, ND. This position is responsible for coordination and implementation of the maintenance practices for the facilities to ensure performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness of equipment and processes. Qualified applicants must have 4+ years of mechanic or maintenance experience or an Associate degree in a related field.


Monday thru Friday 6am to 3:30pm
Pay $20-25/hour DOE

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair conveyors, legs, PD blowers, milling equipment and industrial vehicles
- Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions
- Estimate repair costs
- Design, implement and manage maintenance program
- Record type and cost of maintenance and\or repair work
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking repair manuals, parts catalogs, blueprints, etc. as necessary
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand and power tools, and reassemble equipment
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
- Plan with Plant Manager and Director of Plant Operations to meet efficiency and safety targets as well as PM's on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Work alongside Quality Assurance Manager, Plant Maintenance Engineer, and General Manager to monitor and ensure compliance with the Company's Safety Program

Requirements:
-4+ years of mechanic or maintenance experience or an Associate degree in a related field
-General knowledge of food quality standards and overall safety procedures
-Ability to travel as needed

-Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
-Ability to reach quickly and accommodate change
-Ability to weld a plus
