Job Description

Maintenance Technician needed for a manufacturing company in Florence, SC area.

Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair frying equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic power systems.
- Diagnoses problems and effects repairs of electrical controls, PLC?s, motors and fluid power.
- Performs preventive maintenance and inspects equipment for potential problems.
- Makes recommendations for modification of equipment.
- Orders parts and materials for plant processes and equipment systems.
- Responsible for daily startup or shutdown of equipment, observe operations, read and record gauges and instruments.
- Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source.
- Maintains knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety policies, Sanitation rules and regulation and company policies.
- Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
- All other duties, as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

--Must have gone through an apprenticeship program or technical school and demonstrated the ability to work without close supervision.
--Must be able to repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and directional controls.
--Must be proficient in electric motor control and industrial electrical processes.
--Must be proficient in welding, both tig and stick.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
