Job Description

This position performs activities engaged in installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment needed to prepare food products. Duties will include electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and observing machinery capabilities.
Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping and electrical systems

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repairs
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repair/replace parts
Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, wiring and electronic components of machinery and equipment
Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses and other metal working tools to make or repair parts
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Initiates requests for parts and equipment
Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and include appropriate people in decision-making process
Prioritize and plan work activities and uses time efficiently
Follow policies and procedures and use equipment and materials properly
Observe safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions
Manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Is consistently at work and on time

Working hours: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school desired
High school diploma or GED required
2 years min on the job experience
